LED Light Compatibility Issues with some vehicles

Some newer vehicles, including the Ford F-150 with a factory-installed tow package, are not compatible with the LED Bar or other LED trailer lighting systems. This is because the vehicle’s tow package or electrical system has been designed to be used with automotive light bulbs. These light bulbs require more electrical current than LED lights. For these vehicles, the LED Bar will either not function at all or function incorrectly. They may also produce a warning light on your dash that one of your light bulbs is out OR cause your turn signals to flash faster than normal. This is because the vehicle “thinks” there is a bulb out due to the low electrical current of the LED.

These vehicles include:

2016-2023 OEM tow package equipped Ford F-Series trucks, sprinter vans,

Expeditions, Excursions, Explorers, Rangers, Broncos, and Mavericks.

Other vehicles include newer Tesla, BMW, Audi, Volvo, Chevrolet, and GMC with OEM tow packages.

For LED Bar users experiencing dashboard warnings or rapidly flashing turn signals, you need to purchase a 4-pin flat to 7-pin round adapter with a built-in electrical resistor. Light Bar Adapter for Destination E

Bright light

This bar is a wonderful piece of machinery that I didn't think I was going to need as much as I actually do. It straps easily around your package, whether it be a bicycle or motorized handicap wheelchair, and it quickly notifies the people behind you of what you're going to be doing. Doing. I know that sounds so generic and basic but it fulfills its need. Period. It's a little expensive but it appears as though they are selling a lot of it so maybe it's priced right.

Love the Light Bar!

It was easy to install and is very easy to see to enhance the car lighting. It makes it safer to stop and turn in traffic.

Light Bar For Hollywood Destination E Bike Rack

Absolutely love this light bar and the adapter bar was exactly what I was looking for. I did not want to attach the light bar to my bikes. I wanted a more “permanent”attachment to my bike rack and the adapter bar was the answer. The lights do not have to be taken off to get at the bikes. The adapter bar allows the light bar to be displayed below the bike rack. The lights attach easily to the adapter bar.

Works as advertised

Strong and nice lightning, glad I got it to help people see my rack. Was surprised it has turn signal indicators

Works great, comes with longer bolts to attach to the underside of the rack. Zip tie or Velcro the light bar to this.

Awesome Light bar

Easy to install very clear Would’ve liked to have a better description What came with light bar I ordered the adapter, which I thought it was to put the light bar on the rack I did not need it. I wish there was a better description.

Light Bar Adapter worked perfectly for Destination E bike rack.

I had purchased the light bar for a different Hollywood bike rack. It fit perfectly. I then purchased the Destination E rack. I made an adapter to attach the light bar to the rack. Then I found that Hollywood actually made an adapter which I ordered and am pleased with it.
